I an getting a [tmi.twitch.tv](http://tmi.twitch.tv) CAP \* NAK :twitch.tv/captions when sending CAP REQ :twitch.tv/captions Are there some other requirements I need to meet in order to get this permission? Thannk. ---

That’s not an support irc CAPability Closed captions are embedded in the video and not provided via irc See for technical [Twitch Help Portal](https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/guide-to-closed-captions?language=en_US) And for supported capabilities [IRC Concepts | Twitch Developers](https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/chat/irc/#connecting-to-the-twitch-irc-server) If you’ve used chatGPT here it hallucinated an answer ---
