There are some limits, but are in most cases either magnitudes higher than a regular user, or set extremely high so that you should not run into them. We do not have a published, documented list of rate limits yet.

An update to the general state of this thread:
We’re still working on our whispers system, and getting some features out that will reduce the need for this, as well as more specific features for 1-1 user communication for bots once we feel comfortable with the state of the systems. Appreciate all of your responses, and let us know if there are ongoing issues on this site!

@xangold I hope this isn’t too much to ask, but I posted the necessary info 5 days ago, all went well, you made your post saying all up to that point were whitelisted, our bot worked for about half of a stream, and is now not whispering again. I was wondering if this is something on our end, and/or if there is something more we can/need to do about this. The stream has recently had a large surge in viewercount, so I was thinking this might be a part of it? For better info, the stream and bot name again:

Hi @xangold

Are you still whitelisting bots? Mine works with a currency system and other commands that, if they are not answered in whispers, otherwise they get spammed too much in the chat and the bot can’t handle it. I tried with whispers in the past but the bot got muted and had to stop using these commands/currecy system in my chat.
