Embeds fail with FailedAttributeCheck and X-Frame-Options sameorigin

As the title states, at some point in the last couple years (sorry, this feature doesn’t get a lot of love from our website) our embeds stopped working. I am trying to revamp the website and allow twitch clips and vods be embedded my other xbox based content.

I get this error
FailedAttributeCheck
with this value:
clips.twitch.tv/embed?clip=SoftMoistPhoneDeIlluminati&parent=gamerdvr.com

and in the network tab I see the X-Frame-Options denied by sameorigin

As far as I can tell, everything is configured correctly, but wondering if my website got flagged or banned at some point in the past as suspected of view boosting or something? I’m only showing vods and clips, though, nothing live. And if there were some abuse by others on my site, I was never informed of this and would happily build in some forms of enforcement and mitigation.

ah, sorry I already made a patch around it because it was such a bad UX to see the dead embed. I just reverted it, here is one

well I don’t see anything obviously wrong with your configuration.

Which suggests your site might have fallen a foul of the rules and has been blocked from access to embedding content.

A query to developers@twitch.tv might be the next step
