# Find games via the API

Hi team,

Previously I would use  
[https://api.twitch.tv/kraken/streams/game=game\_name](https://api.twitch.tv/kraken/streams/game=game_name)  
However I dont seem to find the equivalent in the new API,

I have tried  
[https://api.twitch.tv/helix/streams?game\_name=game\_name](https://api.twitch.tv/helix/streams?game_name=game_name)

But no luck and docs dont seem to have this info,

The streams endpoint you get with a game\_id

You get the id from the games endpoint
