The second way is correct. Unfortunately, Twitch currently makes that endpoint 404 until your extension is released. For now, you should use a placeholder function (that just returns your testing channel ID), then switch to the real function once your extension is live. You can also go and comment in the other threads on this and tell the Twitch team it’s causing you problems!

Getting Live Channels with extension installed

This is a follow-up to something I found the other day. I was doing a live workshop on how to create a tetich extension. I created a new extension It was in local test so everything hosted on my PC. I called the get live channels endpoint and got a 404. As I was live at the time and had the extension installed I thought I would be included. Asking if this is correct and expected behaviour?

Live_activated_channels testing

I know this is a stretch, but since this endpoint is part of the extensions umbrella is there a way to be able to add testing responses to this? What i mean is if a app is in testing, but has no released versions, this endpoint 404s. For new extensions can we possibly get this to work?
