# Message: 'subscription missing proper authorization'

my bot was fully working until changed the bot account twitch password now im getting ❌ Failed to subscribe to channel.chat.message: {  
error: ‘Forbidden’,  
status: 403,  
message: ‘subscription missing proper authorization’  
}

✅ Bot started safely  
✅ [Twitch API] App Access Token fetched for EventSub auto-connect  
✅ No stale EventSubs found.  
♻ Refreshed broadcaster token for …  
🔄 Ensuring EventSub active for…..  
❌ Failed to subscribe to channel.chat.message: {  
error: ‘Forbidden’,  
status: 403,  
message: ‘subscription missing proper authorization’  
}  
✅ EventSub active for broadcaster  
✅ EventSub auto-connect complete

can anyone help me get this back online?

When you changed your password, it should of alerted that it will disconnect third party apps

You just need to do the oAuth loop again to recreate a token

ive done that exactly how i did it the first time and still the same error, is there anyone i can add on discord to show my exact code to see where im going wrong?
