Python Requests Module - Update Channel Redeem

I am trying to update a Twitch Channel redeem using the requests module in a Python script. However, I’m getting 403 errors despite following the documentation here, the specific request text and status code are here

My code is here:

import requests, json

STREAMER_ID = “STREAMER_ID”

CLIENT_ID = “CLIENT_ID”

AUTHORISATION = “Bearer AUTH_TOKEN”

REDEEM_ID = “REDEEM_ID”

URL = f"https://api.twitch.tv/helix/channel_points/custom_rewards?broadcaster_id={STREAMER_ID}&id={REDEEM_ID}"

headers = {

"client-id": CLIENT_ID,

"Authorization": AUTHORISATION,

"Content-Type": "application/json"

}

body = {

"is_enabled": False

}

response = requests.get(URL, headers=headers, data=body)

print(response.status_code)

print(response.text)

You tried to update a redeem using a GET request instead of a PATCH request.

And you sent a BODY with your GET which (for want fo a better term) is a violation of protocol and you are being blocked at the firewall level.

A silly mistake on my part there, that fixed it. Thanks for the help!
