The great big "I'm using WIX/SomeWebsiteMaking Tool and I don't know how to fix my embed" thread

You get an error because you included www. in the parent, but your site doesn’t use www. in the domain (and even when trying to add www. to the domain it redirects to a page without it).

Use this as a src and it should work:
https://player.twitch.tv/?channel=tibb12&parent=nicodemushzchoo.wixsite.com&parent=nicodemushzchoo-wixsite-com.filesusr.com

ok thanks so much it really helped

Hi, we have the same issues as everyone and have tried following the instructions, but all we are getting is a blank black box!! Our twitch site is core_to_the_floor and our web site where we are trying to embed the twitch player is www.coretothefloor.net (it’s a wix website). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Molly

Hi
I’m using WordPress to embed the player and chat but they refused to connect.

the embed code for my player is:

The embed code for my chat is:

I’m using the latest version of Wordpress with Elementor.

Link to broken page please

http://jackalfordvod.com/jack-alford-live/ here it is

Your website is not forced over https.

It does work over https but is redirectomg www. to the non www version

So change your URL to the follow, and FORCE https for your whole website

https://player.twitch.tv/?channel=jack_alford_productions&parent=jackalfordvod.com

Thanks, the embed is working now. As for the https I thought it was already enabled as a had an ssl certificate. it turns out you actually need a plugin to force https once you have an ssl.

Hi @BarryCarlyon

You helped me with my embed code a short while ago. Its working fine as far as properly displaying the stream on the website pages. However the issue I am having (and I guess I had been having since the beginning) is that when I launch stream, it will immediately display on twitch the viewers on the website (anywhere from 40-100+) then less than a minute later, the number will drop down to the number of people physically in the twitch stream. Often times this is before OBS even announces so there isnt anyone really even in twitch yet but a few people, it can be as quick as 10 - 30 seconds after launch so it will go from 50 to 5. This happens every day. The embedded viewers do not “stick” as counted viewers within twitch. Is this a known issue at all? Thank you again for all you do.

When a stream starts the view count is always unstable. This fluctuation/change is to be expected and is not a bug/problem to fix, and is not related to you embedding your stream anywhere.

Got it. Thank you very much.

I have this website www.lakeeffectradio.org/studio that I’m have the twitch player embed from www.twitch.tv/lakeeffectradiostation. I have been rewriting the code since yesterday when the player coding went bad. I haven’t came up with a working one. Someone have a suggest, so my radio station can get back and running?

Working fine here

Hello, I’m trying to add a twitch iframe to a page and it’s not working in google AMP. This is the iframe src I’m using: https://player.twitch.tv/?channel=areajugones&parent=areajugones.sport.es&parent=google.com but I also have tried with the ampproject parent: https://player.twitch.tv/?channel=areajugones&parent=areajugones.sport.es&parent=google.com&parent=areajugones-sport-es.cdn.ampproject.org
this is the google AMP URL for the page:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/areajugones.sport.es/videojuegos/sigue-aqui-en-directo-el-playstation-showcase-con-fecha-precio-y-juegos-de-ps5/amp/
thanks for any help!

You need a www.google.com parent in there too.

You linked to https://www.google.com/amp/s/areajugones.sport.es/videojuegos/sigue-aqui-en-directo-el-playstation-showcase-con-fecha-precio-y-juegos-de-ps5/amp/ but only google.com is in your parent’s list

you’re right, it works with www.google.com and cdn.ampproject.org.
thanks for the help

Yeah, I figure it out the code few hours after the post, and then also figure out the SSL disappeared that was causing the code also not to work

Thanks
