Barry & Friends -

First, thank you for this thread! I have been going mad on this topic.

I am getting a variety of errors - each reported above - but, when I implement the code suggestions - it leads me to another error (different error conditions, depending on the ‘fix’ I type in) - all same screens of error as reported above.

Embed Site: www.gooddog-usa.com/liv3

Original Code:

<iframe src="https://player.twitch.tv/?channel=gooddog_555&parent=www.gooddog-usa.com" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="true" scrolling="no" height="378" width="620"></iframe>

Attempt 15 Code:
<iframe src="https://player.twitch.tv/?channel=gooddog_555&parent=www.gooddog-usa.com&parent=www.gooddog-usa.com.fileusr.com" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="true" scrolling="no" height="520" width="960"></iframe>

Please help! Also, how can I return the favor??

The linked page www.gooddog-usa.com/liv3 doesn’t have a Twitch embed, we need to see the broken embed to advise a fix. Since we need to see the iFrame tree.

It’s uploaded now. I hadn’t made it public. Please confirm you can see it now.

The correct URL for your emebd iframe is

Twitch

When I insert this into the iFrame - it gives me a black page … hmmm.

Ignore the preview/sitebuilder tool

There is no way for me to tell you what the iframe URL is for adding to the parent stack and you shouldn’t include it for security reasons.

Just save the page and check the front site.

I also only gave you the URL to replace in your existing iframe, you seem to have pasted JUST the URL isntead of the iFrame with the fixed URL

Yep … I tried it the other way too - inserting the suggested web link into the code … This didn’t fix the matter. It gave me the same - frowny face - response.

Your front end shows

Literally copy and past this

<iframe src="https://player.twitch.tv/?channel=gooddog_555&parent=www.gooddog-usa.com&parent=www-gooddog-usa-com.filesusr.com" width="100%" height="100%" scrolling="no" frameborder="0"></iframe>

Hit save then look at the front end (it’ll error in the editor)

Thanks for the suggestion. You’re right (of course). It works perfectly now.

Hey all,

I’m struggling to get the Twitch embed working on my Wix site. Followed the advice given to others above and can’t seem to configure it correctly.
The iFrame code segment I currently have on my site (https://www.wartopsy.co.uk/stream) is:

<iframe src="https://player.twitch.tv/?channel=wartopsy&parent=www.wartopsy.co.uk&parent=https://5dbdf860-44d6-4255-bdc1-5651558b7a52.htmlcomponentservice.com/" width="100%" height="100%" scrolling="no" frameborder="0"></iframe>

This gives me a misconfiguration error:

If anyone has time could you let me know where I’m going wrong?

Thanks in advance

Should be

<iframe src="https://player.twitch.tv/?channel=wartopsy&parent=www.wartopsy.co.uk&parent=5dbdf860-44d6-4255-bdc1-5651558b7a52.htmlcomponentservice.com" width="100%" height="100%" scrolling="no" frameborder="0"></iframe>

That worked immediately! Thanks so much Barry, I’ve been pulling my hair out over this for a while! :grin:

You’re a legend!

Hey there

I’ve been reading this thread but somehow i can’t figure out what’s wrong with my code.

I’m not sure if it has something to do with the .info ending…

Thanks in advance!

Looks like it’s working fine here

I figured that i had to install or activate a ssl certificate.

But thanks for all the help!

I cant seem to get my streams working. I clearly must be missing something but don’t know what.

The correct iFrame URL to use for the linked page is https://player.twitch.tv/?channel=negdogtv&parent=www.negdogsofwar.com&parent=www-negdogsofwar-com.filesusr.com

I don’t want to bother anyone but it stopped working again

<!-- Load the Twitch embed script -->
<script src="https://embed.twitch.tv/embed/v1.js"></script>

<!--
  Create a Twitch.Embed object that will render
  within the "twitch-embed" root element.
-->
<script type="text/javascript">
  new Twitch.Embed("twitch-embed", {
    width: 854,
    height: 480,
    channel: "Ragestorms",
    parent: ['www-thestormstalkers-com.filesusr.com', 'www.thestormstalkers.com']
  });

  embed.addEventListener(Twitch.Embed.VIDEO_READY, () => {
    var player = embed.getPlayer();
    player.play();
  });
</script>

Link to broken page.

Define stopped working
