# Twitch Player Muted Being Ignored

Using url in the iframe

Muted flag is ignored on refresh, also applies if i just use this url in the browser.

Any help appreciated.

Browsers will tend to force an autoplay video to be muted regardless of your setting

Due to the mythical website interaction score.

The web browser is trying to protect users from loud autoplay video. So the video will start muted, regardless of what you try to set

ok i understand that. Seems odd it works fine in the iframe on first link to the page just when that page is refreshed it mutes the stream
