Get VOD chat log using API

Hi

I’m very new to programming and this API stuff. I’m wondering if it possible to get the chat log of a certain Twitch VOD.

I’ve seen reddit posts (see the link below) that says the API doesn’t allow it anymore. In that case, how is the TwitchDownloader (see the GitHub link below) able to do it?

There never has been a supported/documented API for VodChat

Then do you know how the GitHub code does it? Based on what I can find there has been Python libraries that supported downloading chat log but after the removal of the chat log API ut doesn’t work anymore

Can’t really speculate about things that are not covered in the documentation.
