We are a nonprofit transmitting a radio station (24/24) currently through mixlr. I was hoping we could accomplish the same with OBSStudio and Twitch. Please advise.

This forum is for third party developer support. I would recommend checking out the OBS QuickStart guide. There is a Twitch section.
If you are wanting to not only go live on a radio station, you could also do it through OBS (and connect it to Twitch).
OBS is able to support scene switches (swapping from a live video to a still image) and playing music along with a video live-stream.
