Changing my URL slug after rebranding on IGDB

Hi Twitch team. I’m the developer of the game Encounter: The Lost Cards. I noticed that the Twitch directory category URL currently uses the slug:

https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/encounter-1

However, the official IGDB entry is now listed as:
Encounter: The Lost Cards
https://www.igdb.com/games/encounter-the-lost-cards

Is it possible to have the Twitch category name and/or URL slug updated to reflect the full official game title for consistency?

Thanks so much for your help!

IGDB Keeper here: Thats not a thing normally done/done in rare cases since it’s not automagic to my knowledge. And it doesn’t really have any bearing on access to streams of this game anyway

And it’s outside the realms of here to help with too much.

I see. I should have mentioned that the reason I believe this happened was because initially the game was just called Encounter. And since there was already a game with that name, the system added a -1 suffix to the slug. A similar scenario to Changing a URL slug after rebranding on IGDB

Under normal circumstances this would be fine, however I believe it is contributing to streamers not being able to find my game in order to tag it. I’m not a streamer myself, but I can confirm I also am not able to find my game when searching through Lurkit—which uses IGDB.

Looking at the Edit Stream Info panel in the dashboard I don’t see any issue at all with being able to select “Encounter: The Lost Cards”. It’s the 3rd in the list of categories when searching for “Encounter” (and the 1st result for “Encounter:” with that colon at the end).

When searching for “Encounter:” , the first suggested search is “Encounter: the lost cards”

So on Twitch there does not appear to be an issue. If 3rd party sites such as Lurkit are having difficulties perhaps reach out to them as to how they are generating their lists because if they’re doing it based on Twitch slugs, they’re doing it wrong as it being encounter-1 should have no impact whatsoever on 3rd party sites.

This doesn’t change my answer. As I looked on IGDB and assumed that you did a name change due to name conflict.

No, as dist notes

Sounds like lurkit is not doing a live pull of IGDB or some other issue affecting lurkit.

This isn’t lurkit support so I can only guess.

Thank you guys! Appreciate it. I’ll check in with Lurkit to see how they’re pulling in the data.
