Discord server considered an off-site link? Review process

We’ve been using Discord to get feedback and provide support for a while now. I believe it’s a great way to connect with our userbase.

It’s not something we’ve added to our latest version, but this latest version just got declined with a request to remove the Discord link from the extension.

I am not here to argue about this. I respect the decision, but I would like some more clarity on the guidelines. We’ve been doing it for a while and lots of other extensions are as well. Why is it not appropriate all of a sudden?

They didn’t see it on the earlier extensions?

The review policy/guidelines or testing practices internally have changed?

It should be fine if feedback is for the broadcasters and the link is only in the config view. It’s not so “good” for users/viewers guidelines wise I believe

Email back on the decline email and ask for more information.

It’s not likely an answer will be given on this forum.

Thanks, @BarryCarlyon. I did email back but they keep linking me to the policy on the docs. It seems they cannot provide any more information.

Anyways, I think we will remove the link and add a textarea to receive feedback from along with a support email. That would probably be fine with the policy.
