First extension, looking for guidance

I’m currently working on porting a free price chart html widget from TradingView but I have no experience working with extensions. I’ve done some web development in the past but I can’t find a good place to find my footing for extension dev.

I’ve looked through all the twitch documentation and it seemed more like an electronic press kit for the monetizable features of extensions rather than educating potential devs on how to implement their ideas into real world products.

(sorry for the rant, just an off chance someone from twitch might read this)
