Get Twitch Alerts

Hi there,

I see there is a way to get Twitch Goals. Reference | Twitch Developers

Is there a way to get Twitch Alerts, based on these goals?

As in when a goal progresses?

I think this is it. So, when I send these Event Sub Requests, it will trigger an alert based on what the Twitch Broadcaster has set for this goal?

EventSub is for real time notifications of various things happening.

Based on your response and first question sounds more like you are talking about Twitch’s first party alert system and not looking to build a third party integration.

And that will be this section here:

Yup, this is what i’m talking about. So, is there a way to trigger these alerts, based on Extension actions. Not, actions outside the extension.

For example, sending bits through the extension.

My questions:

  1. Will this add to the Bit Goal? Even though, the transaction was done through the extension and not through cheers
  2. Can you trigger alerts for bits goals based on extension transactions?

No, unless part of a limited beta that some people have, no

I heard that bits used in extensions do contribute to the bit’s total goal, as that goal is “bits used” rather that “cheer”

Thanks for pointing me to the link Barry!

Yeah I think this would be great.

I wonder, is there a way for the extension to cheer in the broadcaster’s channel, therefore causing the alert to happen?
