Is there any solution to embed twitch player on file:// origin now? My smart TV app stopped working when parent property was introduced and I was thinking if there’s a way to do it now, since some time have passed. So is it possible now? There’s only frontend in my app, I can’t use node.js so I believe there’s no way to intercept and modify headers, as suggested for electron.
I don’t believe Twitch is investigating or considering supporting file://
So this pushes this back to a “feature suggestion” on the uservoice

But given the move to parent killed file:// “on purpose” I don’t expect it to be re-added as supported.
“Proper”/first party smartTV apps might get a “backdoor” to support it (or alternative ways to work) but homebrewed app’s won’t I imagine.
