Programatically Identify the best Ingest Server

Hi

We want to programmatic identify the best ingest server to upload the stream to. I have seen XSplit doing it. Can somebody help us on this front?

Determine the latency to each server (send SYN and check how quickly you get the ACK back) and then run a short test stream to a few with the lowest pings. You can run a test stream by adding ?bandwidthtest=true to the end of the stream key.

Thanks … Can you please help me on how to send the test stream . May be a small code will be helpful … I am newbie to rtmp protocol. ?
