For the record, I’m not seeing any TwitchNotify related messages in any AWS chat either.
Non-partnered accounts have absolutely started moving. I have already had 2 reports from my users.

Hi Rob,
We identified an issue with the Twitch integration built into the “Live from PlayStation” app, which appears to be using the old endpoint instead of checking /chat_properties for its servers. We’re reaching out to Sony to get this resolved, but it may take some time.
In the meantime, we’re not migrating any more PS4 channels. If you’d like to be moved to the old servers temporarily (to get PS4 chat working again), send your channel name to will@twitch.tv.

I’m migrating users based on an internal list we have of ~14k partners. If any non-partner has been moved, they were either partnered at some point in time (when the list was generated), or they have partner tracking data for some reason. Let me know the channel names if you’d like me to check it out.
Yes please. I emailed you my channel name. Thanks for the reply.

Are we talking months of this two-cluster mess being a thing? An update on the estimated timeframe would be nice.

We’re aiming to be done by the end of the year.
Just kidding. We’re nearly at 100% of partners now (waiting for these last few channels to go offline before migrating). We should have 100% of all users on AWS next week. Aiming for as early in the week as possible, but I’m giving it until Friday in case any issues come up along the way.

Hy,
my Twitch Channel haved been move zu the AWS Server and so i can’t recieve any Chatmessages on my PS4.
Is this fail? Sorry for my bad english, but i hope you can understand me.
My Bot is saying that my Channel have moved to the new AWS Server, but I’m not a Twitch Partner.
Can i be move to the old servers?
Twitch Channel Name is Michaeltantan.
Thanks for your reply
Here’s a suggestion to the Twitch staff.
Because at this point in time the support for the new servers is not present everywhere (PS4 for instance), but other people (like me) are ready for the new servers, but currently have to deal with both, how about this:
Have an online form where people can request being migrated to the new servers, this will allow people who use services up to date to switch immediately and avoid the service owners to deal with 2 clusters.
And once the support for the new servers is almost everywhere, switch everyone else, this way people who use services that aren’t yet up to date can still use them.
The amount of time to wait before switching everyone else would have to be based on how fast the services update, but obviously after a fair amount of time you should switch anyway, as after all it’s the service owner’s responsibility to ensure maintenance.
Also I want to add that although this has been a real mess, I like that Twitch does not sacrifice optimisation and betterment to ensure backward compatibility.
Thoughts?

i have no idea how i landed on that list but it is so far only a nuisance to me since some things wont work (hosts never show up, chat clients like chatty cant join without changing the port/adrees etc)
kind regards MrTau
My Bot’s sat on AWS seem to get disconnected from AWS (in the gap between the end of a cast and the show starting up again the following day).
I’m fairly sure they are Ping/Pong’ing fine. But when it comes to send a message (when a channel goes live I send a “hey you are live”) I (suddenly) get a Connection Closed message. (At which point my bot fatals and restarts.)
I’m fairly sure I’m not getting a “this chat server is restarting” message but I need to dig my logs further.

Hello! I’ve moved you back to our old servers. Your next stream should show chat on PS4.

Quick update: we have essentially all partners on the new servers (excludes PS4), as well as a large number of our most active non-partners. The migration will be finished soon – as early as tomorrow!
Edit:
I’ve reached the reply limit for the thread, but I’ll respond to other posts here:
@Michael_Tau_MrTau: these issues will be resolved as soon as tomorrow, when we update irc.twitch.tv to point to irc.chat.twitch.tv. At this point, everyone will be on the same chat servers, and you’ll only have one endpoint to connect to in IRC.
@BarryCarlyon: The servers aren’t restarting, so I wouldn’t expect that message in the logs. If you can, try to add more logging to the connection (to see why it’s closing). It could be idle for too long (independently of the PING/PONG messages), which can cause it to be closed. Shoot me an email at will@twitch.tv - I’d love to help with debugging.
@RobNuts: You’ve been moved back again. I accidentally included you in today’s batch of the most active non-partners.
@Derek: I tried to migrate TPP today, but the bot only connects to the older chat servers. We’re attempting to reach the owner of the channel before migrating it. If you know of other 24/7 channels like this, let me know!

I’ve been migrated again. And apparently Sony still hasn’t fixed their Twitch. Could you move me back to the old servers again? Thank you.
Are you guys by chance doing migrations in groups, possibly on some type of hourly interval? Because we’re seeing period lag spikes that are causing us serious problems right now and they always seem to be a regular time apart. Plus a few of our users reported getting the move message the same time we had an issue.

There was a single migration today, which lasted roughly from 2:30pm to 6:30pm. Can you describe the lag spikes you’re seeing? Is this video delay, chat delay, or slowness in the website in general?

Please add something like “sslservers” list to api.
Getting 80 port address and changing it to 6697 (or 443) not looking good.
please rollback nds_talon channel this is causing issues with ModBot (Loyalty bot…)
it connects via irc.twitch.tv:6667

We were just discussing this today! I’ll check it out.

We’re only moving PS4 channels back, because we have a fix for them which will be deployed tomorrow (pointing irc.twitch.tv at irc.chat.twitch.tv). PS4 already uses the correct port for this to work (6667).
By the end of the week there will only be one cluster (the new servers), so this bot will need to support the new environment. Send me an email at will@twitch.tv (or have the bot developer do so), and I can help get it working.
