Similar functionality?

Am I able to have a search bar on my app where users can search a twitch streamer and follow them in my app? To have a search bar and then a following screen showing all in-app followed streamers (when they’re live, what they’re streaming) etc with the ability for the user to click and watch on twitch?

Do these two things violate the api terms?

I was reading about how my app can’t do the same things, and a search and following would be extra features built into my app that helps users find live streamers

Off hand nothing I can think of would disallow this*

*this is my opinion

From a technical standpoint rather than a policy one, you wont be able to do following in-app, as there’s no API to follow a user so for that you need need to send the user to that channel page and they would need to follow the channel themselves.

Yeah my idea would be in-app following, so completely separate from Twitch user account following. So a user could search Twitch streamers (from the public api), follow them in my app, and have a following list to see when their in-app followed streamers are live or offline

Does that make sense? Does this comply with the developer api terms of service?
