Hey everyone ![]()
I’m a PM working for a social discovery app (1M+ users), and we want to implement a new feature where our users can Oauth with their Twitch account in order to see which shared interests they have with others (example: “You both follow @pokimane”). We’d basically use user:read:follows only (read-only).
We already implemented similar features with other third party platforms, but I don’t see any way to request commercial approval with Twitch.
-
Is there an official way to request commercial approval for this type of use case?
-
How do companies normally get written confirmation that their API integration is compliant with Twitch policy?
-
For apps with scale (millions of users), what’s the process for asking for higher API rate limits?
I already have a registered app in the console but I don’t see a way to raise this with Twitch formally.
Any pointers from folks who’ve gone through this (or from Twitch staff) would be hugely appreciated ![]()
Thanks!
