Following the launch of the Twitch Game Engine Plugins earlier in the year, it’s time to organize some friendly competition, inspiration, and incentive for building games that leverage interactions on Twitch. The underlying technology necessary for these experiences is more accessible as a result of the plugins and we are excited to see what the community can build. With that in mind, we are proud to announce our first official game jam!
What’s the theme?
Every game jam has to have a theme. Check back here or keep an eye on TwitchDev social updates when we announce the theme on July 26, 2024. In the meantime, we wanted to give potential participants time to sign up early, read the rules, and become familiar with the game engine plugins to hit the ground running later in the week.
What else should I know right now?
You can take on the jam solo or form teams with up to four members. Winners of the jam will receive custom Twitch-themed controllers from Controller Chaos for the system of their choice (i.e. one controller per team member).
