I recently published my own twitch extension for testing with my stream. I’ve been using the “hosted test” mode for the extension for a bit and manually adding users to the whitelist. For a while it’s working just fine, but recently users began to lose access to the extension even though they were on the access list and I can’t seem to figure out why. Is there some kind of rate limiting when the extension is in “hosted” mode? I intend to get the extension reviewed soon but I am actively developing it at the moment. Thank you for your time and let me know if you have any ideas what the issue might be?
as in the extension is no longer activated on their channel/available to install or something else?
Might also be a hiccup around saving the list and dropping/readding people since closed user testing is for testing rather than general user (with a small set of people) since viewers of those channels can’t see the extension.
These users/viewers could also be usign FFZ or similar to block extensions.
Thanks for the response. The issue is that the users are still on the list, the extension is live in “hosted” mode but some users do not see the extension UI show up on the page anywhere. I have tried both panel and video overlay and neither seems to show up for them. It was working for them just the other day and now it’s not.

It was patted twitch had an internal issue that is now resolved
Is your issue still occurring?
yep issue is still occurring, at least it was earlier today. Weirdly it just got worse and worse over time. Like people lost access and never got it back one by one. Some were able to access in different browser before it disappeared completely? Started yesterday and most lost access (including myself) by end of day today.
I ended up finding a temp workaround by cloning the version and re-adding people to the access list of the new one. Might happen again soon tho I guess we’ll see…
For reference I had maybe 50 ppl added to the access list if that helps at all
You know you can’t delete the clones/versions.
So you’ve just cluttered up the system
Whilst suppported it’s not ideal, hosted test/the testing list is for final testing before going for release.
Seems here you are doing general usage.
If it’s still ongoing can nudge this for further investigation
