Greetings!
I think many here have read and even received a warning regarding the new embedding rules: https://discuss.dev.twitch.com/t/update-regarding-twitch-video-embed-autoplay-functionality/49232
I would like to clarify what is meant by this phrase: “substantive or meaningful component of the page” , what autoplay embedding will now be acceptable for Twitch, and whether anyone has been able to challenge the new restrictions by changing the site.
I have been embedding my stream on a gaming site for many years. I follow all the rules of visibility and size, and the stream is an important structural part of the site where people can find new games and ask questions in the chat.
According to my observations, not a single gaming journalism site received a warning, even if they violated the minimum size rules, hid the stream in sliders, and modified their code so that the stream would start playing even without the Twitch autoplay function.
What do you think about it?
