No "unlocked_emote" Value in "Unlock" or "Modify a Single Emote"

The chosen_sub_emote_unlock and chosen_modified_sub_emote_unlock reward types in the channel.channel_points_automatic_reward_redemption.add EventSub event contains an unlocked_emote value of null. If the value isn’t provided, what exactly is the purpose of these events?
