Twitch’s mission is to create belonging by enabling streamers to build community. There is no doubt that the developer community shares the sentiment behind this mission and we strongly believe that third-party development is essential for all communities on Twitch. Developers can and continue to build exceptional interactive experiences and streamer solutions at an impressive scale; efforts that can apply to everyone or solve the smallest niche use cases that lead to innovative, meaningful moments.
With the Twitch Streamer Tools Hackathon, we’re excited to host a friendly competition to build tools and services that empower streamers to collaborate with each other, empower streamers to collaborate with their audience, and enhance the overall appearance of a stream. When people have the tools to be themselves, have fun, and do what they love together, we unlock lasting connections. The third-party developer community is a big part of that story.
Did we also mention there is $50,000 USD in prizes?
