Extension Review Time

Hello developers,

I’m looking for insight from others who have recently gone through the Twitch extension review process.

Our extension was submitted on May 4th and has now been in review for a little over 2 weeks without any approval response, rejection feedback, or status change. I read that its usually 2-10 days so we’re just a bit out of the window, however we are becoming concerned that we submitted something incorrectly, or missed something we should have already completed. Has anyone experienced a similar delay in approval?

Thank you in advance!

2 to 11 working days is standard, but there are of course times when reviews will be outside of those usual review times, and based on a couple of similar questions from other devs it may indicate that review times currently are on that longer end.

If the Extension status is in review, and everything is set up for it (such as if it’s a Video Overlay or Video Extension that there’s a test channel live for it to be tested on), then all I can suggest currently is to be patient.

Understood. Thank you Dist.

Is there a time where it would make sense to reach out to someone if it were to exceed, lets say a Month?

I’d recommend waiting until after TwitchCon, which is at the end of this month, as there’s often a spike in Extensions submitted for review prior to events like that and the staff who handle Extension reviews may have other responsibilities they have to handle in the build up/break down of events like TwitchCon, all of which results in longer review times than normal.
