Hosted Test mobile extension not appearing in Twitch mobile app

Hi, I’m testing a Twitch Extension in Hosted Test. Desktop panel works correctly after uploading the ZIP.

The version is configured with:

  • Panel enabled: index.html
  • Mobile enabled: mobile.html
  • Config path: config.html
  • Identity link enabled
  • Testing account allowlist includes both my broadcaster account and a second bot account

In the Developer Console, the Status page shows Hosted Test and lists the Mobile Viewer Path as mobile.html.

On desktop, the extension appears and works. On the Twitch mobile app, I cannot find the extension on either the broadcaster account or the allowlisted bot account. Other released extensions like Blerp do appear in the mobile app.

Is Hosted Test mobile extension visibility supported in the Twitch mobile app? If yes, where should it appear, and are there extra requirements beyond enabling Mobile and setting the Mobile Path?

Did it work in local test?

Does mobile.html actaully exist?

Does mobile.html correctly load JS and include the Twitch Extension helper?

Both local and hosted test work on mobile, local just means “not on Twitch’s servers”

Same place you saw blerp, the button becomes [an icon + x] the +x indicates other extensions

Android: no
iOS: After a change over a year ago no, other than the requirement of a privacy policy (but thats a review issue not a testing issue to my knowledge)

TLDR: no extra requirements

if you are looking at the channel via web browser on your phone from what iv seen in my testing you cant see extensions you have to pull the channel up on the mobile app to see them. you will see the icons right above chat in the mobile app
